At Stagecoach we are pleased to be able to offer apprenticeships at a number of locations throughout the UK.
Engineers are the people who maintain our fleet of buses. They can either work on the mechanical, electrical or body parts of the bus. Apprenticeships are available at many of our UK locations in
- Mechanical
- Body Repair
- Electrical
The programme involves a combination of residential training undertaking the Technical Certificate in Transport Engineering Maintenance and on the job training at your local depot and takes 4 years to complete. During your training years you will have a nominated mentor from the company who will be available for guidance and assistance. On successful completion of your training you will be awarded an Apprenticeship in Transporting Engineering Maintenance and have the opportunity to become a licensed member of IRTEC (The Institute of Road Transport Engineers).
Requirements:
- Have or expect to get 3 GCSEs at grade C or above or Standard grade 1,2, 3 in English, Maths and a Science
- A genuine interest in Engineering
Intake is in August / September each year but applications are welcomed as early as March, the selection process includes interviews and ability tests.
