What tickets do you offer online?

You can buy tickets for most of our UK Bus services online and get great discounts and the convenience of buying from home.

Megarider, the great value ticket for our regular travellers, with no limits on the number of trips you can make over your selected time period and across your chosen Stagecoach network. Whatever your travel needs the Megarider ticket will get you where you want to go on our local bus services. It's the most convenient money saving way to get around.

Unirider, the great value ticket for students, is particularly suited to frequent travellers, as there is no limit to the number of trips you can make over your selected time period across the local Stagecoach network. Whether you are travelling to a lecture, for a night out or to shop, the Unirider ticket will get you there. It's the most convenient money saving way to get around.

How do I buy a ticket?

Ticket purchases can be completed online from this website.  Certain tickets can also be purchased direct from the driver and at some travel shops, see your local company website for details.

How long will it take to buy the ticket?

Buying a ticket online will take no more than a few minutes to complete.

Does Stagecoach offer tickets online for all it services?
Stagecoach offers its megarider and Unirider product for all its bus services in the UK, excluding Scottish Citylink, megabus.com and Oxford Tube.  Other restrictions may apply and these will be advised at the time of ticket selection.

How do I find out what bus services Stagecoach offer in my area?
Bus service information can be obtained from www.stagecoachbus.com and by following the links.  Alternatively contact Traveline at www.traveline.info or call them on 0871 200 22 33 (calls cost 10p per minute, calls from mobiles may vary).

How do I search for my ticket?

You will need to know the ticket type you require and the location to which your ticket applies.  This may be the town or city you travel in or the region or shire.  Locations are listed in our online shop in alphabetical order. 

Once you have selected your ticket and location you will be presented with a list of the tickets available in your chosen location.  Click on the INFO link to view details of the tickets area of validity and any restrictions that may apply.

I can’t find my location what should I do?

Some tickets are listed by regions and shires or by the area name they are locally known by.  If you can’t find your town or city, search for your region, shire or area for available products.  If you are still having trouble then please contact us for assistance.

How much will the ticket cost?

Ticket prices vary depending on the area and ticket, a full list of prices will be shown prior to selecting your ticket.  Tickets are offered for periods of 4 weeks, 13 weeks and 52 weeks with discounts for the longer period tickets.

What information will I need to provide?

You will be asked for the following information and it is important that this is provided in full.

• Telephone Number
• Email Address (if available)
• Credit / Debit Card Information

How do I pay?

Payment can be made using most major credit and debit cards, including Visa, Visa Debit, Mastercard, and Maestro.  Payment will be processed by our credit card partner RBS Worldpay who operate a secure online payment network.

I had problems making my payment, what should I do?

Please check your email address for the Worldpay confirmation email. If you have received this then your transaction was successful. If however you do not receive either of these within an hour or so of your transaction, then please contact the Stagecoach helpline on 0871 8340010.

Yes – Stagecoach adopt strict controls over security of all its websites.  Our sites are regularly checked by independent security experts to ensure that they are updated for all aspects of internet security.

Do I need to provide a photograph?

No Photo ID is required for the Megarider ticket, with the exception of the megarider VIP available in the North East. 

You need a valid photo ID to buy Unirider and Megarider VIP Tickets. Photo ID cards are not issued by Stagecoach. 

A valid Photo ID for Unirider tickets would include Library Card, NUS Card, University / College ID Card, International Students Card and must include a recent photograph of yourself.    

A valid Photo ID for Megarider VIP tickets would include current college ID card, Teentravel ID card or Nexus under 16 card and must include a recent photograph of yourself.    

Some local conditions may apply and these will be detailed during the buying process.

Where required, your photo ID number must be on your Unirider or Megarider VIP Ticket.  For your Unirider or Megarider VIP Ticket to be valid, you must show both your Unirider or Megarider VIP Ticket and photo ID with matching ID numbers and name if requested by Stagecoach staff.

What happens if I cannot provide photographic ID?

You must carry photographic ID with you if you purchase a Unirider ticket.  In the event that an employee of Stagecoach suspects that a ticket is being used fraudulently, the ticket will be confiscated and the traveller required to pay the appropriate fare for the journey.

What will I be issued with?

Stagecoach will issue you with a Unirider® or Megarider® bus pass valid for the period and area you selected.

How will I receive my ticket?

Depending on the value of your ticket Stagecoach will post your ticket to the address provided using either Royal Mail standard first class delivery or first class recorded signed for delivery.
